Publications & NewsScil Technology Completes Patient Enrollment in European Phase II Sinus Lift StudyMARTINSRIED, Germany, January 24, 2007 - Scil Technology GmbH today announced that it has successfully achieved target patient enrollment in a European Phase II clinical trial of its novel bone augmentation product, MD05, developed for bone regeneration in dental implantology. MD05 is a granular synthetic bone substitute, which is comprised of the synthetic carrier, beta-tricalcium phosphate coated with recombinant human growth and differentiation factor-5. It has been developed to combine both osteoinductive and osteoconductive properties to accelerate new bone formation and to shorten time for implant insertion after maxillary sinus floor augmentation (sinus lift surgery).
