Weishui Weiser, PhD, Managing Director

Dr. Weiser has more than 12 years of industrial experience in research and development.  Before joining Scil Technology, Dr. Weiser held key positions at BioNet Holding GmbH and at Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Prior to Millennium, Dr. Weiser was the Head of Immunochemistry and Cell Biology at Serono.  Dr. Weiser joined Serono from Harvard Medical School where she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine.  Dr. Weiser received her PhD from the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland.

Christian Nafe, Dipl.-Kfm., Chief Financial Officer

Before joining the Scil Group in April 2000, Christian Nafe was Manager of Controlling and later Head of Controlling at different medium-sized enterprises with subsidiaries worldwide. Parallel to his role in controlling at the Scil Group, from 2002 to 2003, he was interim Chief Executive Officer of Scil Diagnostics GmbH, a subsidiary of the former Scil Group. In 2003 he was appointed Director Finance of Scil Technology.

Carola Dony, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Dony has more than 15 years' industrial experience in Research & Development in both Pharma and Biotech companies. She joined the Scil Group in July 1999 from Roche Diagnostics where she held the position of Head of R&D Musculoskeletal Disorders. Prior to working with Roche, she was Vice President of R&D at Boehringer Mannheim. Dr Dony was awarded a PhD in molecular and developmental biology at the University of Heidelberg before joining Genentech Inc, California.

Iris Margraf, Dipl.-Kfm., Director, Business Development 

Using her experience of more than a decade in market research for various industries as a freelancer, Ms. Margraf worked several years in the marketing and product management division at a generic pharmaceutical company, now part of Bausch & Lomb. After holding a market research position that led to a strategic business consulting function  at a mid-size company, she joined the Scil Group in 2002. Ms. Margraf received her graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Munich.

Susanne Pippig, PhD, Director, Preclinical Research and Development

Dr. Pippig joined Scil Technology in 2004 from Switch Biotech AG where she was the Head of Assay Development. Prior to Switch Biotech AG, Dr. Pippig held positions as Scientist and Senior Scientist in the Development and Research Departments at Genentech, Inc. and Systemix, Inc. (a Novartis company), respectively. Dr. Pippig received her doctorate in biology from the Technical University of Munich in 1994. She conducted her postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco, in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology.

Roland Seidl, PhD, VP Pharmaceutical Quality

Dr. Seidl was Head of Laboratory and a scientist in the Quality Operations department of MUCOS Pharma GmbH (1992–1999) prior to joining Scil in 2000. He previously held a postdoctoral research position at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry, Munich, and was coworker of the German Health authorities in Erlangen. He received his PhD in Biochemistry from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (1990).</<><//<></
